Cigar Review: CAO Brazilia
Well folks, it’s been a while since I’ve reviewed a cigar here on my site. What better day to enjoy a cigar and some craft beer than the day of the NCAA Final Four! Here we go!
Name: CAO Brazilia
Size: 5″ x 56 (Gol!)
Wrapper: Brazilian Ariparaca Maduro
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Construction
Smooth, oily Maduro wrapper. Several smaller veins running the length of the cigar. Packed solid. Firm to the squeeze, no noticeable soft spots. This is one of my favorite vitolas. Beautiful cigar!
Smoking Characteristics
Slightly tight draw but doesn’t make the jaw tired. Razor thin burn line with a perfect tight ash! Speaking of nice tight ashes, check out Chris and Chuck’s awesome cigar blog! No relights, no problems. Excellent!
Flavors
Huge amounts of sweet Maduro flavors!! Mouthfuls of deep complex cocoa/roasted coffee bean. Coats the palate with loads of creamy smoke. Earthy and nutty notes occassionally.
Overall
I’ve always been a big fan of CAO cigars. There aren’t many that I severely dislike. If you’re looking for a classic Maduro-wrapped cigar, this is a good start! I keep telling myself to buy a box, just haven’t yet. Definitely worth a try!
I paired this CAO Brazilia with Four+ Brewing Rype beer. The interesting notes of Coriander spice and orange peel in the beer works very well with the earthy overtones in the cigar… interesting indeed!

Great review….I enjoy these cigars as well….
