CONSTRUCTION
This Best Seller is remarkably similar to the Short Story I reviewed recently. This one is bigger in size, but identical in its unique shape. This vitola has some larger veins running the length, and not nearly as many blemishes as the Short Story. This is closer to the typical ring gauge I enjoy.
SMOKING CHARACTERISTICS
The Best Seller is a cigar I’m not familiar with, and had a hard time figuring out what it was after receiving it from Cigarsdirect.com. The initial draw (v-cut) was perfect and steady throughout… I can’t remember the last time I had a Fuente that had draw problems actually! Great burn, soft and white, flaky ash.
FLAVORS
I thought the Short Story was balanced, but this cigar trumps its smaller counterpart. Lots of sweet Cameroon characteristic flavors mixed with sweet tobacco in the beginning. About halfway through there is something like caramel mixed with a sharp coffee component. Intriguing and yet delicious!
OVERALL
If you’ve had the pleasure of enjoying a Short Story, or any of the Hemingway Line, you’ll be happy you got your hands on this one! Though a bit too expensive for a daily smoke, this is absolutely worthy of being gifted and shared with special friends! Great cigar!
